01 The Equipment

As a Luxury Fine Art photographer, our equipment is specifically designed and built to produce the highest quality images in the harshest of environments. The size of the sensor and increased number of pixels allows for the sharpest images with the truest colors and enable those images to be scaled to sizes like 60”x90” (our largest print production size), while maintaining an acceptable level of detail and sharpness. Our wildlife equipment also allows us to take up to 14 images per second, allowing us to capture micro movements and select the very best composition.

The glass (lens) is where you can really see the difference in image quality. The lens is what facilitates the color and sharpness of the image. The motors that drive the focus modes also equip the photographer to get on subject and obtain the sharpest possible focus in the shortest amount of time. While there are a lot of lens options available to photographers of all interest and skill levels, they are not all the same. Luxury Fine Art photographers use the best glass available for the focal lengths they need. In wildlife photography, longer focal lengths allow the photographer to maintain a safe distance and leave their animal subjects undisturbed influencing more natural behavior.

In addition to the camera equipment itself, Luxury Fine Art photographers have specialty equipment including camera travel cases, backpacks, carbon fiber tripods, lens filters, gimbal heads and a variety of other specialized equipment used for specific circumstances all in an effort to capture the very best image possible. The result is the finest quality images possible which are then able to be produced and scaled to provide clients and collectors with the highest quality product in every size from 20”x30” up to 60“x90”.

02 The Process

Each image selected to be included in our Luxury Fine Art Prints collections, goes through a rigorous culling process to identify images and asses their qualifications to be a Luxury Fine Art Print. The finalists are then further scrutinized to ensure an acceptable level of detail, sharpness and colorization at maximum production size. Every image available in one of our Luxury Fine Art Prints collections meets the extremely high standards of excellence we have established for our products.

Once an image has been selected to be included in one of our Luxury Fine Art Print collections, they are produced with the highest level of quality available to us today. We painstakingly visited and examined the highest rated printers in the country, before establishing partnerships in productions with our printers. Our search produced printers that are beyond subject matter experts, they are some of the finest craftsmen in the industry.

03 The Production

We offer three mediums for our images, Acrylics, Metals and Canvas. Each medium has it’s own characteristics designed to appeal to clients and collectors of varying tastes, budgets and use. (see The Making of A Luxury Fine Art Print below) Only the highest quality materials and industry leading processes are used on all of our prints. To meet our Luxury Fine Art Print standards, we are unrelenting in the expectations we have established around the production process and resulting quality of the final product.

We do not maintain an inventory of prints, so when you place an order you are not getting something pulled off the shelf. Your print is produced after it is ordered to ensure you get the freshest and highest quality print possible. Each print is individually examined to make sure it is free of flaws and meets the exacting standards established by Creators Canvas.

EXCLUSIVE PRINTS

Limited Edition

All of our images, in all of our mediums are produced as Limited Edition prints. Each print for any given image is numbered and digitally signed (Acrylics have a “wet” signature) and are limited to 50 prints in each size for each medium. There are only 50 prints available for any given size of any given image. Since Creator Canvas offers six sizes, there are a total of 300 prints available for any given image for each medium.

ORIGINAL & AUTHENTIC

Certificate of Authenticity

Each print is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity (COA), signed by the Artist and includes a raised embossed stamp from Creators Canvas further authenticating the print. The COA should be stored in a secure area and treated as something of value as it cannot be replicated if lost or damaged. While Creators Canvas will maintain a record of the original purchase and information on the print, the ORIGINAL COA is the only physical document that certifies the authenticity of the print and aids in its resale value, insurance value, etc.

FINELY TUNED & TAILORED FOR YOU

The Making of a Luxury Fine Art Print

Acrylics

Acrylics represent the highest grade product available in the Luxury Fine Art Prints industry. Creators Canvas uses a very specific and finely tuned combination of products and processes to produce the very best quality Luxury Fine Art Prints in Acrylic.

It all starts with Lumachrome High Definition photographic paper, offering unsurpassed resolution, vibrancy and clarity giving the images an almost 3D look and feel. Lumachrome is only available with acrylics because of the specialized process used to mount the print to the acrylic surface.

The print is mounted to an optically clear adhesive on its face and an archival adhesive layer beneath. The optically clear adhesive allows the print to be mounted to the acrylic face without altering the color or detail sharpness of the image. The archival adhesive back, allows the print to be mounted to an acrylic backing preserving the integrity and quality of the acrylic print for up to 120 years if presented and maintained properly.

The Lumachrome HD print, with its optically clear adhesive face is mounted to TruLife Acrylic Glass, the very best acrylic glass material available. TruLife is reputed for its crystal clear, non-reflective and scratch resistant properties, providing both protection and optimal presentation of the print, equivalent to what the very best museums and galleries use to present their printed artwork. To further protect and optimize the presentation of your artwork, an acrylic backer is attached to the archival adhesive layer.

Now that the print has been encased in acrylic, Creators Canvas attaches a floating mount to the acrylic backer with both D rings and French Cleats so your artwork is delivered ready to securely and professionally hang on any surface. Acrylics offer a sleek, contemporary frameless presentation style that many find attractive as stand alone art pieces. All acrylics prints can also be externally framed, whether by the client or collector or you may choose one of our options and have the print delivered framed and ready for display. (Creators Canvas framing options coming soon.)

Metals

Metal prints have a long history and reputation for an incredibly contemporary, durable and vibrant medium to produce Luxury Fine Art Prints. But not all metal prints are created equal. And as you have come to expect by now, Creators Canvas offers the highest possible quality metal prints available.

Your metal print will come on a Chromaluxe aluminum metal substrate material. A heat transfer process called dye sublimation transfers the image from a high resolution transfer paper directly onto the Chromaluxe. Once the cooling process has been completed, the dyes are permanently infused onto the Chromaluxe resulting in product that has a contemporary look and feel and offers eye popping vibrant color and details. The finished product is then adhered to an 1/8” thick black edged Dibond gallery backing material, which give the print a more robust body and presentation suitable for Galleries, Museums and premium viewing in your home and office.

All Metal Prints, like their Acrylic counterparts, come ready to hang with both French Cleats as well as D Rings on a float mount backing. While many choose to hang their Metal prints frameless, they can be externally framed, whether by the client or collector or you may choose one of our options and have the print delivered framed and ready for display. (Creators Canvas framing options coming soon.)

Chromaluxe partnered with dye sublimation produces a print that is chemical resistant, easy to clean, temperature and moisture resistant, making it an incredibly durable print medium. However, as with most print based products, care should be taken to prevent the print from being exposed to prolonged direct sunlight to maintain color accuracy and vibrancy.

Canvas

Canvas is the timeless quintessential classic medium for producing high quality luxury fine art prints. However, the quality of canvas prints has improved dramatically from its early years as the preferred medium for primarily painting artists. Todays print canvas are much more durable and offer a high degree of retained detail and color, while maintaining the classic canvas look and feel.

Our canvas prints are made of an 18 mil product and come framed with additional cross bracing supports. The edges are gallery wrapped with mirrored edges that are 1-1/2” thick. A dust cover is installed on the back to give the Gallery quality print a visually refined appearance. Our canvas prints also come ready to hang.
