The Alaska Wild Collection

The Alaska Wild Collection is the inaugural release of Nature Photographer Michael H. Miller. It includes a carefully cultivated collection of images captured over many of his trips to The Last Frontier. Included in the collection are images taken from all over the state ranging from Kenai, AK to the Katmai National Park and Preserve. Images include Alaskas famous Brown Bears, Eagles, a lone grey wolf, Moose and even a moody landscape image.

The Signature Image for this release is “Nursing Cub”. This image was captured as a Sow (Mother Brown Bear) after carefully scanning the vicinity for potential threats and undisturbed by our presence reclined on her back to allow her young cub to climb on board to nurse. This intimate scene unfolded close enough to allow striking details of the experience to be captured including the cubs milk mustache and residue milk left on the sows teat. Such a special and rare occurrence to be observed in the wild and photographed.
